Introduction: Precocious puberty in boys is the development of secondary sexual characteristics before 9 years of age. Peripheral precocious puberty (PPP), as opposed to central precocious puberty (CPP), is caused by autonomous secretion of androgens or human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG).
